Counselling In Shepparton With A Registered Psychologist

You might make it through work and family responsibilities, then reach the end of the day with nothing left. Perhaps you’re worrying more or pulling away from people you usually talk to. It’s easy to keep going while wondering whether your concerns are serious enough to bring to a psychologist. You can begin with what you’ve noticed. That’s enough for a useful first conversation.

In Shepparton, registered psychologist Collette Caffrey offers counselling for children, adolescents and adults. You can tell Collette about the parts of daily life that feel harder, what has helped before and what you’d like to be different. That conversation can help you understand the concern more clearly and decide whether ongoing support would be useful.

Concerns People Bring To Counselling In Shepparton

Worry, Low Mood & Intrusive Thoughts

Anxiety can disrupt sleep or make an everyday task feel daunting. Low mood may drain the energy needed to see friends. Intrusive thoughts can take up time you need for work, school or relationships. We’ll ask about your experience and what you hope will change.

Trauma, Grief & Concerns About A Child

Some people get in touch after a significant loss or an experience that continues to affect them. Parents may reach out when a child’s mood, friendships or school attendance has changed. We’ll listen to what’s been happening and discuss an appropriate next step.

How We Plan Counselling Around Your Needs

Collette draws on approaches including cognitive behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, EMDR and chair work where they fit your concerns. We’ll discuss your goals and history before deciding how to begin. The pace and approach are reviewed with you as the work continues.

Questionnaires or other measures may help clarify a concern or track progress. We’ll explain why one is useful before using it.
